What we screen for
We carefully examine the soft tissues of your mouth — including your tongue, cheeks, gums, the floor and roof of your mouth, and your throat — looking for any changes in colour or texture that warrant a closer look.
How often you should be screened
- Non-tobacco users: at least once per year
- Tobacco users: at least twice per year
- Anyone with persistent mouth sores, lumps, or unexplained changes — sooner
Painless and fast
The screening takes only a couple of minutes and is included with your regular check-up. If we see anything we want to investigate further, we'll talk you through every step.
