Why timing matters
If a baby tooth comes out too early because of decay or injury, neighbouring teeth will start to drift into the empty space. A space maintainer prevents that drift and saves orthodontic work later on.
What to expect
Your child may need a few days to get used to the appliance. We'll go through care instructions, and we recommend avoiding sticky foods if it's a cemented type.
