Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is a minor surgical procedure, the surgeon will take a section of bone from another area of your body, or uses a special bone grafting material, and graft it into your jaw bone. A cut is made in your gum to gain access to the bone beneath it, and then grafting material is added. A successful bone graft enables your jaw bone to be strong enough to support your dental implant. Over the next several months, your body will replace the graft with its own bone.
