Bone grafting.

When jawbone has been lost to disease or extraction, a graft rebuilds the foundation needed for implants and other restorative work.

What bone grafting does

We add grafting material to the area where bone is needed — sometimes from your own body, sometimes from sterile graft material. Over several months, your body replaces the graft with strong, natural bone.

Why you might need it

A successful graft makes it possible to place a dental implant where there wouldn't otherwise be enough bone to support one — restoring options that might have seemed off the table.
